Tulip was founded to expand fertility access and provide the best possible egg donation options for intended parents. We believe that part of expanding fertility access is transparency – which is why we are committed to sharing Tulip’s partner Egg Donation Agencies for our users to review or browse on their own. The purpose of Tulip is to unite thousands of donors from 70+ agencies in one place, and we are proud to partner only with egg donation agencies, egg banks, and clinics that have met strict requirements. If any of our Tulip users are interested in browsing the individual egg donation agencies on Tulip, you can find our full list of partner agencies here.
We reached out to our partner agencies for more information on their mission, their teams, and the services they provide for hopeful parents. Read on for more information on our partner agency Fertility Source Companies.
Tell us about your agency – what is your company’s history and mission?
Fertility Source Companies began in 2003 as The Donor Source and we were solely an egg donor agency, matching intended parents with egg donors and facilitating their journeys. After a few years, The Surrogacy Source was added and we ramped up to matching intended parents with gestational surrogates and/or egg donors and helping each party in their respective journeys. With experienced gestational surrogates, a nurse coordinator, and other business professionals on our team, our mission at Fertility Source Companies is to provide the highest degree of commitment, support and guidance to intended parents, egg donors and surrogates.
What advice do you have for intended parents beginning the egg donation process?
The egg donation process can be daunting at first but keep in mind that your agency is there to help you through the ups and downs. The first step is research, research, research… from the fertility clinic you’ll work with down to the type of relationship you want with your donor, it is important to find the people who can be part of your village on your pathway to parenthood.
Organizing your finances is another important step. With most insurances not covering third party reproduction, creating a budget, raising funds, and overall financial planning will help you feel prepared as your begin the egg donation process.
Finally, communicating your feelings to others can help keep your emotional wellbeing intact. Whether it is confiding in your partner or circle of friends or seeing a mental health professional experienced in third party reproduction, talking out your hopes, fears, and concerns can ease the course of your journey.
Why do you do what you do? What makes the hard work worth it?
Being in the fertility field for 16 years has given me many chances to see the struggles intended parents go through and the miraculous journeys they endure. Egg donors and surrogates are such important people and I am honored to work with them in helping intended parents’ dreams come true. I feel very blessed to be part of the special work we do in third party reproduction.
What makes your agency different or special?
Fertility Source Companies has been in business for 19 years and most of our staff has been with the company for the long haul. With experienced surrogates on staff and very little turnover, we’re able to commit our whole business to ensuring the journeys for intended parents, surrogates, and egg donors are full of support and guidance.
